Raeann loved to wear Grrr-amma's slippers around! She would get a little mad when they wouldn't stay on her feet but the smile tells it all when they did!
Ily was Pebbles for Halloween! What a perfect costume for her with that red hair. Grrr-amma and Papa had an hard time missing out on seeing both Ily and Raeann in they costumes and enjoying the day!

God's blessing for our Family ( all of it )

Tina and I were blessed by God in the form of a trip back out to Colorado to see Raeann and also Cali and Mike but they are second to the short girl! This time we were also able to take my mom and see the creation of God's incredible mountains through her eye's. This was my mom's first time on a plane and also her first time in the Mountains or Colorado. I have to tell you it was an amazingly moving experience for me to see my mom's face as she took in all the beauty that God has created, the mountains had snow caps on them and the Quakies still had their color showing in some places.

Our days were spent sight seeing and shopping with mom and Raeann, this was an experience all in itself. Raeann was quick to let grandpa know when he was taking to much time shopping in the stores! We were able to plant a couple of bushes for Cali to nurture and some Flowers to brighten her day in the spring and summer months. Raeann helped Grandma with the dirt! You will want to ask Grandma about that. In the evening it was Family time, Raeann was quick to occupy our time with some reading and wrestling. We found out really quick that she wins! Raeann is the boss of the house and the wrestling! Cali still thinks that she is the boss of the schedule but i think that Raeann has taken that from her.

Tina and I were able to make Mike a Christmas present while we were there, Corn hole boards painted like Michigan so that Travis has an excuse when he looses! I will include a picture for you to see, you will also see that Raeann was also helping Grandpa.

As always we had to come home, we know that we will see them at Christmas and the we can always Skype,it is not the best potion but it is a good one.

Tattoos !!!!

One kid thinks we're crazy, the other kid thinks we're cool!


We went together to get our tattoos. Paul was excited and I was scared to death. Once my leg went numb it was tolerable! Now it seems like a memory, kinda like child-birth! We both knew what we wanted and are glad we did it! We thought we would explain what each one means. The dragonfly's symbol is to be reborn or rebirth. I am reborn in Christ. The cross represents my Savior's sacrifice for me and the scripture, Isaiah 12:2 "Surely the Lord is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord is my strength and my song."

Tattoo? this was the question that I had 8 months ago when I first thought of getting one. As a father that muttered the great words of our fathers before us ( if you get a tattoo you better move out ).
So here i was wanting a wrist tattoo and the thought what do I want for my permenant statement to anyone who i see on the street everyday.

Here we go: My Tattoo ( I AM ) What it means to me. It is the words that God told Moses to tell pharaoh to make sure that pharaoh knew of the sovereignty of God and that he was the only one with all the control.It was also the one thing that Jesus said time and again to let us know of his sovereignty. I Am the only way to the father, he also says in Revelations that I AM the begining and the end.
When I started to ponder what i wanted this was it I AM becasue he is everything. Nothing happens without God allowing it. That alone gives me great peace knowing that my Fahter in Heaven has my life in his hands. No matter what happens i know that he has the best for me.

This is what my Daughter asked Tina and I ( Are you having a mid life crisis ) Here is my response to the qestion. We might be but the great thing is that we are having it together! Tina and I are one flesh joined together in the sight of God and that God that said I AM was the one that gives us our love for one another and once again his love for us serves as our example of how to love each other: unconditionally! 23 years and growing closer now we choose to use our skin as a convas to further his love!

We loved the park one day, Ily wasnt' too sure about the slide. Aunt Cali went with her but the face tells it all.
Raeann loves the bubble maching Aunt Susan got her for her birthday. She knows how to turn it off and on, which is half the fun!
Ily is such a happy girl! Always has a smile unless she's hungry and needs a change!

Paul and Micah golfed an outing with Travis and took 1st place while we were there. They had a great time!
Raeann and Ily got aquainted for the first time! Ily was always very excited to see Raeann come into the room and Raeann was so busy she didn't notice alot of the time.
What a great time we had in Colorado. The top of the mountain was the place to be, all of us together!
