Ily is getting so big. We are going to see her in 5 days. I am so excited to play with her. What a blessing God has given Paul and I.

God's love seen through Raeann eye's

Amazing!!

That is the only word that can explain exactly what i experienced out in Colorado last weekend. I didn't think that a little girl could grab the heart of grandfather so quick and strongly. We were at Cali and Mike's house for Raeann's first birthday this past weekend. The love that i felt coming from the little girl that runs the floor along with her parents was over whelming. She also has a very strong will that she must have gotten from her grandmothers side of the family!
The one thing that i noticed about Raeann was that she had no fear when it came to playing, jumping, rolling. She would get up on the couch and take off running and run right off the edged of the couch right into the arms of the person that would be the catcher. Raeann never once thought wow are they going to catch me, am i going to hit the floor? This brings me to this thought; with God as our father (which he is) Do we ever run off the side of the couch so to speak and land in his arms?

Do we trust our father in heaven with the same reckless or fearless trust that a little kid has? We might say well they haven't learned what pain is and we have. Still if we are truly trusting in God shouldn't our trust be fearless?

The other thing that i seen in Raeann was the fact she had no doubt that her parents loved her. You could see it in her eye's that there was no question to that.

Do we always know that God loves us? Do we try to earn that love? God's love is unconditional we don't have to earn it or perform for it, God just plain loves us!
Do we receive God's gift of love and bask in it or do we reject it and go from their.
I believe to love we need to know what love is and what better example do we have then our father who is in heaven?

In summary i say this, if we stand back and watch kids we can learn much about our relationship with God.

Raeann is getting so big and walking everywhere. She loves to play with the balls. We had such a wonderful time with Cali, Mike and Raeann.

Grandpa started this game and boy did Raeann love it! Once he started she knew just how to make him go again! Give him that face and off they went!

Grandma's girl! Raeann has ahold of my heart!

Grandpa really knows how to make Raeann smile! Of course the elephant pillow from Grandma helps too!
